STEM Teach Meet

We’re having an open evening for educators and relevant partners and we’d love to invite you and/or members of your team along to Campus North to discuss how working together we can make a difference to closing the digital skills gap and equipping the next generation with the right skills for a career in STEM. We're delighted to have Alison Shaw, Director at North East Futures UTC, and Christine Kemp-Hall and Craig Nicholson from North Ormesby Primary Academy as our speaker for the evening.

What can I expect?

An informal evening, including talks from both industry and education on how we can support each other in closing the digital skills gap, with the opportunity for questions and discussions.

It will also be a chance for you to hear more about Tech for Life and our range of events for children right through to adults, including:

Support for Teachers

We have set up Tech for Teachers in the North East, unique industry-led computer science, coding and electronics CPD sessions. Each session has been developed by industry experts to help teachers understand the fundamentals of computing.

Community events

We hold a range of free events for young people age 4-14 years old and their families to help break down the barriers and make learning accessible and fun for all. Our regular events include monthly Coderdojo Saturday sessions and Maker parties, held at Campus North in Newcastle. We work with partners to deliver specific programmes and events in other areas and communities where digital skills training may not otherwise be easily accessible.
